GF Electric

Electrician Website Redesign · Placer & Sacramento, CA

The client: GF Electric (Good Faith Electric) is a locally owned electrical company serving Placer, Sacramento, and neighboring communities. Owner Josh Terry launched the business in 2023, but he brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the electrical industry. His work speaks for itself. His old website did not.

The challenge: The original site had the problems I see on a lot of trade websites: a cramped layout, walls of hard-to-read text, and photos that did not do the work justice. For a service business, that is a real cost. When a homeowner is comparing three electricians at 9pm, the website often decides who gets the call.

What I did: I rebuilt the site from the ground up with one goal: make it instantly clear that GF Electric is professional, experienced, and easy to hire.

The new homepage leads with trust signals right where visitors land: licensed, 20+ years in the industry, free estimates, locally owned. A bold hero with a clear "Get a Free Estimate" button gives people a next step within seconds of arriving.

I broke the services into three simple categories, Remodel, Install, and Repair, so visitors can find what they need at a glance instead of digging through paragraphs. Josh's real project photos, including EV charger installs and panel work, are displayed in a clean gallery that shows off the craftsmanship.

I also put Josh himself front and center with his name and photo. For local trades, people are not just hiring a company, they are inviting someone into their home, and a face builds trust faster than any tagline.

Finally, the free estimate request form sits right on the homepage with the phone number, email, and service area beside it, so there is zero friction between "I need an electrician" and "I contacted one."

The result: A night-and-day transformation. GF Electric went from a site that undersold two decades of expertise to a modern, trustworthy online presence that works like a 24/7 salesperson, answering the questions homeowners actually have and pointing every visitor toward a free estimate.
