CALM Studio
Yoga Studio Branding & Website · Built on Squarespace
The client: CALM Studio is a Brooklyn yoga studio focused on helping people slow down, whether that's through a dynamic vinyasa flow or a candlelight yin session. The studio needed a website that felt the way their classes feel: warm, grounded, and easy to settle into.
The challenge: A yoga studio website has to do two very different jobs at once. It needs to capture a peaceful, welcoming vibe, and it also needs to work hard as a booking tool. Class schedules, pricing, teacher bios, retreats, newsletter signups... that's a lot of information to present without the site starting to feel like a spreadsheet.
What I did: I leaned into a soft, earthy palette of cream, sage, and warm neutrals, paired with an elegant serif that gives the whole site a calm, editorial feel. Real photography does the heavy lifting, with imagery of the studio and practice woven throughout so visitors can picture themselves on the mat before they ever walk in.
Then I made the practical stuff effortless. The weekly class schedule lives right on the homepage, laid out so you can scan your week at a glance. Pricing is presented in three simple cards with no fine print energy. And "Book Now" buttons appear at natural moments throughout the page, so signing up never requires hunting through menus.
I also built out a dedicated section for the studio's retreats, complete with video, so their Utah retreat gets the spotlight it deserves. A newsletter signup in the footer keeps the community connected between visits.
The result: A site that feels like an exhale. Visitors get the full picture of the studio, the schedule, and the pricing without a single moment of friction, and the booking path is always one click away.
